We're currently seeking a dedicated Warehouse Supervisor to join the team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. In this pivotal role, you'll be tasked with overseeing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, ensuring seamless and accurate order fulfillment while upholding a safe and productive work environment. What will you do?

  • Oversee and manage all warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
  • Develop and implement efficient warehouse processes and procedures to optimize productivity and minimize errors.
  • Supervise and mentor warehouse staff, providing guidance, coaching, and training as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards and conduct regular audits to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
  • Utilize lean six sigma principles to identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to drive continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and maintain cold chain logistics protocols to ensure product integrity and safety.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate and prioritize workflow and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate inventory counts through regular cycle counts and reconciliation.
  • Handle escalated issues and provide timely resolution to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, enforcing all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Other assigned duties as needed.
How will you get here?

Education:
  • Minimum required education: High school diploma required.
  • College degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse or distribution center environment.
  • Prior experience operating Forklifts Required (sit-down and reach truck)
  • Experience in cold chain logistics preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles and experience in conducting audits.
  • Familiarity with lean six sigma methodologies and experience in implementing process improvements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Proven experience in leading and motivating a team.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (e.g QAD, SAP, Oracle, or any WMS,) a plus.
  • A valid forklift operator license is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $77,300.00-$115,900.00.
