Imperial Dade, leading national distributor, has a job open in Jacksonville, FL. Our Warehouse is hiring a talented Warehouse Lead! The Lead/Trainer role requires strong grounding in safety standards, particularly in an industrial distribution context. The successful candidate will have a strong safety mindset and set the example for a culture of safety excellence. This candidate will also collaborate regularly with our warehouse manager and safety team to ensure consistent implementation across our warehouse as we develop a best-in-class safety environment. The selected individual will follow an operation's safety program and lead others to do the same. The Lead/Trainer ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 6:00pm until finished.

The responsibilities of the Warehouse Lead include:

• Train new selectors on the selection process from start to finish, pallet construction, labeling, wrapping, and staging.
• Audit pallets and work with current selectors on pallet construction, labeling, wrapping, and staging.
• Assist with loading, inspect trailers upon completion, and ensure proper load quality.
• Ensure pallets are wrapped and strapped correctly.
• Cover the supervisor desk by assigning work-flow.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and work-related injuries including accident investigation, accident reports, accident files, accident register, and follow up with the claim's office and adjusters, as necessary.
• Prepare and submits accident-related compliance forms, maintains files, or otherwise submits data to appropriate person or organization.
• Provide assistance and training to warehouse employees and other safety related issues.
• Provide various reports and analyzes, including safety trends.
• Develop cost saving recommendations.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
• Develop employees engaged in safety, training and/or compliance processes.

The qualification of the Warehouse Lead include:

• 3 years of Warehouse Distribution experience
• 2 years of Double Electric Pallet Jack experience
• 2 years of Sit-Down and Stand-Up Forklift experience
• 2 years of RF Scanner experience
• 2 years of Selecting experience in a fast-paced environment
• 2 years of leadership experience, preferably in a safety role
• OSHA Certification for all material handling equipment
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to trainees and management
• Obtain drive, confidence, and determination
• Ensure safety is the number one priority
• Stay up to date with the ever-changing rules and regulations
