Position Summary...
What you'll do...
Operates vehicle over 10,000 pounds safely by adhering to all safety requirements; inspecting mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment of vehicle unit before, during, and after trips; planning routes based on local and state traffic laws and restrictions; and following routes according to information from maps and atlas.
Manages freight flow by moving and processing freight manually and with power equipment (for example, single and double pallet jack, lift, pacer); identifying, counting, separating, and scanning freight; utilizing warehouse management system terminal, scales, and scanners; and completing paperwork, logs, and other required documentation.
Maintains area of responsibility by loading and unloading product into and out of vehicle; ensuring cleanliness of vehicle; following appropriate policies and procedures for preparing, handling, packaging, labeling, and storing food products; identifying shrink and damages; removing damaged or out-of date goods; identifying and processing claims and returns; maintaining merchandise presentation; and securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise.
Provides customer service by acknowledging the customer; delivering merchandise to customers at residential and commercial locations; following compliance requirements for food safety by processing items according to company specification; operating, maintaining, and sanitizing equipment; ensuring merchandise is properly stored; and promoting products and services.
Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications: At least 21 years of age. Valid state-issued driver's license One (1) year of verifiable Full-Time driving experience operating a commercial vehicle in the previous 5 years. A commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years. No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last 3 years. No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last 3 years. Able to successfully complete a DOT physical and secure medical certification of at least one year. Able to read and speak the English language as required by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
