Summary of Job Responsibilities:

The staff physician in the clinical track is responsible for providing direct outpatient care to GI patients primarily at the Uhealth Solé Miá in North Miami [9 half days] Opening June 2025. He/she will provide outpatient clinical and endoscopic services to those patients who require Gastroenterology/ Hepatology services, and or Gastroenterology screening procedures. Incubant will do weekday, holiday and weekend call rotating with other physicians. Minimal inpatient will be required.

Outline of additional responsibilities include but are not Limited to:

  • Maintain outpatient clinic and endoscopic procedures at Uhealth Doral
Qualifications:
  • MD Degree and ACGME US internal medicine internship and residency
  • Valid American Board Certification in Internal Medicine (or board eligible)
  • Board Certification in Gastroenterology (or board eligible)
  • Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply (must have license prior to credentialing)
  • Valid DEA licensure
  • Current BLS certification required. ACLS
  • Must be able to provide prerequisite case logs for procedures for prior two years for credentialling

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures and techniques.
  • Must maintain CME to meet institutional and state licensing requirements
  • Must have excellent clinical knowledge and experience to provide safe and quality care to patients and meet institutional standards of care
  • Close encounters within 72 hours.
