This position will be responsible for working with the Digital team to build Avnet's Digital Enablement Platform. The new platform involves introduction of new technologies, cloud computing and the intern will be engaged in research of such technologies, building POCs and implementing some tools for employee self service on the platform. We are also looking at grooming the intern for potential long term resourcing.

Job Summary:

Participates in a short-term program designed to provide practical work experience relevant to an academic major and compliments formal education.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Receives valuable hands-on training in an operating group that fits the degree program
• Uses process design technology methodologies, programming languages and tools and solutions design techniques to develop applications to meet business specifications.
• Validates functional specifications, builds technical specifications and develops application documentation.
• Performs analysis, design, development and testing of applications to solve business requirements.
• Integrates new or enhanced application components.
• Supports change readiness initiatives as needed.
• Research and implement solutions for enhanced efficiency
• Provide general administration assistance and support
• Other duties as assigned.

• Acquires basic skills through work experience or formal training to perform routine tasks.
• Tasks are routine, repetitive and manual in nature with minimal complexity or variation and specific to the job.
• Work is performed under supervision with detailed instructions. Priorities are provided for performing work.

Work Experience:

• Typically requires less than one year of related experience.

Education and Certification(s):

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Distinguishing Characteristics:

• Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's
• Preferred fields of study - Computer Science/Engineering/Math

Additional Job Description

• Background in programming is a must
• Experience in Javascript framework highly desired (React, Angular preferred)
• Background in front end development, CSS desired
• Experience with working in cloud environments is a plus
• Understanding of Java

Additional Information :

• This is a paid internship - $18/hr

• Work schedule is 8:00 am-5:00 pm, M-F. Hybrid schedule available if desired (some days in-office, some days WFH).

• Must be available for full-time seasonal work from May 22 - August 11, 2023. • Selected candidate must provide own housing, internet access and transportation.

• Selected candidate should reside in Phoenix for the summer to accommodate hybrid schedule.

• Relocation is not offered for this role.

• Sponsorship is not offered for this role.
