Ledgent Technology is partnering with a local fast-growing company to identify a new Systems Administrator to join their team. This individual must be an experienced Systems Administrator who is a team player and has experience with endpoint management with SCCM. Layer 2 and 3 networking experience is a plus.

This is a direct hire position which will be hybrid with 3 days in office (Mondays required) in Eden Prairie, MN. Target pay range is $80-90k plus incentives.

Candidates must be local to the Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN area and must be eligible to work in the United States, both now and in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with IT staff to consolidate log files into a centralized logging platform, ensure monitoring and logging tools are maintained at supported versions, and train team members on adding, updating, and removing monitors and alerts.
  • Coordinate with team members to identify necessary OS patches, schedule and deploy patches, and perform patch installation, managing security and antivirus updates for all devices utilizing Microsoft Endpoint Manager services.
  • Manage backup infrastructure, including processes and procedures, monitor and address failed backups promptly, and maintain the backup environment with supported hardware and software versions.
  • Conduct regular tests of backup restoration to ensure readiness in case of failure.
  • Oversee telephony systems, ensuring they are up to date and supported.
  • Collaborate with business units to integrate telephony systems with AV products as required.
  • Offer 2nd and 3rd tier support for employee issues.

Experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft system administration, including endpoint management with SCCM, demonstrating advanced knowledge.
  • Familiarity with networking principles including DNS, DHCP, Email, HTTP, SSL, OSI Model, and TCP/IP protocols and applications.
  • Understanding of WANs, VPNs, and internet connectivity.
  • Experience in Data Cabling and maintaining Computer Facilities.
  • Competence in Office365 Administration, ADFS, and Azure AD Sync.
  • Familiarity with key hardware components, backup systems, and storage technology.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex IT concepts in easily understandable terms.
  • Experience with layer 2 and 3 networking a plus.
