About the Role:

Our operations summer internship is designed for college juniors pursuing their Bachelor’s degree who desire to build their logistics career portfolio. You will be exposed to multiple Uber Freight services and top-notch customers throughout the 10-week program.

What the candidate will do:

Participants will gain hands-on experience working with operations seeing the day-to-day work such as setting appointments, tracking and tracing shipments, attending regularly scheduled meetings, exposure to leadership, and more. They will also be assigned a special project aligned with company strategic goals and initiatives which they will present recommendations for at the end of the program to a group of executives and senior leaders.

The internship will start on 6/3/2024 and will end on 08/09/2024. Following completion of the internship, participants may be considered for a full-time opportunity in our Management Trainee Program (2-year rotational program).

Basic Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Transportation/Logistics/Supply Chain Management or related field
  • Expected graduation date between December 2024 and June 2025.
  • Ability to work at our new office in Newport, KY
  • Ability to work full-time, 40 hours, between 6/3/2024 - 08/09/2024
Preferred Requirements:
  • Keen interest in growing a career in logistics and transportation as demonstrated by coursework, written work, research, internships, etc.
  • Detailed and multi-task oriented (ability to prioritize and manage many tasks)
  • Exceptional interpersonal communications (demonstrated ability to develop rapport and garner trust with peers, customers, classmates, professors, former employers, etc.)
  • Can demonstrate an aptitude to manage difficult situations objectively and rationally (a thick skin; roll with the punches; resourceful)
