Who We Are:

The Tribology research and evaluations group undertakes client testing and research to answer real world friction and wear problems.

Objectives of this Role:

  • Assist the Tribology group with testing.
  • Work on the seal testing for a Navy engine project.
  • Work efficiently in a team setting, assisting others as well as asking for help.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
  • Use tribology test rigs to undertake testing programs for clients.
  • Complete basic CAD design of test holders.
  • Process data.
  • Write the data as a report or summary for delivery to clients.
Requirements:
  • Must be pursuing a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 0-1 years: Testing experience using Bruker TriboLab test rig

Special Requirements:

Must be a U.S. person (i.e., U.S. citizen, non-U.S. citizen national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) due to ITAR work in section.
