Gold Standard Diagnostics (GSD) is searching for a Sr. Product Manager to work in Davis, CA.

The Sr. Product Manager is responsible for the research and evaluation of potential new technologies and products; planning; and execution throughout the product lifecycle. This position requires gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements; defining the product vision; and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and technical support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Sr. Product Manager's job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company's overall strategy and goals.

Sr. Product Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :

• Research and identify new products and technologies that have commercial value for the company

• Collaborate with technical and research personnel globally to define, develop, evaluate new products and technologies

• Understand and identify all diagnostics systems and information technology requirements for products

• Assist in the technical publication of new products and technologies

• Consistently works to add to company's product menu

• Follow up on leads generated by web-based advert ising, trade shows, partners, etc.

• Provide financial analysis to management that include product feasibility, total market size, business plans and sales forecast for new products

• Identify competitor activities and develops action to address them

• Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research

• Key message development and communication of product positioning and branding

• Contribute to the development of global strategic launch plans and executes against the plan

• Attend conventions, sales meetings and training programs as required by management

• Perform other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate would possess :

• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills

• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude

• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Basic Minimum Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)

• At least 2-3 years previous work experience in a similar position required

• Previous experience in the medical service or medical products industry required

• Prior experience with diagnostics hardware systems, diagnostics IT systems, and diagnostics reagents preferred

• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance Davis CA are encouraged to apply.
