Job Summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified individual to fill the SSC Front Door Analyst / Navigator remote position and to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.

Join our team as the SSC Front Door Analyst/Navigator, where you'll serve as the vital triage coordinator for our Front Door Team. Your role will involve conducting thorough business and technical assessments, offering initial recommendations for industry inquiries, and ensuring seamless communication with our commercial partners. Although working remotely, you'll be at the forefront of improving our intake processes, guaranteeing efficiency and effectiveness.

As a guardian of data integrity, you will handle supporting the Front Door Industry Engagement Portal (IEP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool, ensuring that our systems are always reliable and up to date.

In addition, you'll play a pivotal role in managing Front Door's engagement with the SpaceWERX team on SBIR processes and various funding pathways for our industry partners. Your expertise will be crucial in navigating these processes and fostering fruitful collaborations.

We are seeking a Salesforce Navigator who can not only manage leads effectively but also actively engage with commercial industry stakeholders. Your contributions will be instrumental in shaping our workflow pipeline and driving our team towards success.

Job Requirements:

Skills / Experience Required

  • 10 + years of Space Industry insight and expertise
  • Financial fluency, backed by years of Industry Navigation
  • Proficiency in navigating and optimizing IT Systems to drive efficiency and innovation
  • Articulate communicator and engaging public speaker within the Space industry
  • Promptly respond to incoming cases, ideally within a specified 48-hour timeframe
  • Ability to convert a minimum of 99% of qualified leads into opportunities and first-level triage opportunities into closure
  • Perform lead and first-level triage opportunity outreach as needed
  • Activities will be monitored within Salesforce, including the number of calls made, emails sent, meetings scheduled, etc., providing insight into the Navigator's level of industry engagement and productivity
  • Contribute to the workflow pipeline - which will be tracked by the number of opportunities created or influenced through their efforts and by the number of first-level triage opportunities closed to demonstrate the impact on the overall effectiveness of the Front Door Program
  • Adhere to workflow processes, guidelines, and best practices established by the organization, including lead and first-level triage and second-level opportunity qualification criteria, follow-up procedures, and documentation standards
  • Find mission partner pathways and push nurturing efforts for the commercial industry using metrics such as contact feasibility helpers, mission engagement rates, and handoff conversion rates will be tracked at different stages of the first-level triage opportunities nurturing process and the progression of leads through the workflow funnel
  • Collaborate with mission partners and industry to suggest and build funding and other campaigns supporting the overall Front Door Mission
  • Support the coordination of internal teams, external vendors, and mission partners to ensure seamless execution of events
  • Find commercial industry and mission partner events to share with the team and coordinate postings
  • Post events on the website and assure quality for all events
  • Assess and evaluate the quality of leads identified and entered into Salesforce, measured through daily metrics reports such as lead scores and accuracy and completeness of lead assessment information
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information within Salesforce, including leads and first-level triage opportunity details, interactions, and status updates, crucial for effective commercial industry pathway forecasting and decision-making
  • Gather feedback from commercial industry and mission partners to assess their effectiveness in addressing needs and providing a positive experience.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of workflow processes to facilitate knowledge transfer and support continuity
  • Share expertise and best practices with team members through documentation, presentations, and collaborative discussions
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and improvement by tracking participation in training programs, certifications earned, and implementation of new strategies or techniques
Education / Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace studies or Astro engineering
  • Certified IT Systems Proficiency

Security Clearance

Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.
