Responsibilities
  • Responsible for troubleshooting computer hardware and software for solutions.
  • Assists in analysis and development of procedures involving computing and network issues.
  • Assists with the administration of network servers, including user accounts and backups and other computer network issues.
  • Analyzes problems, develops solutions, and implements computer software and hardware.
  • Assists with administration and support of classrooms, computer labs, library, and multi-media equipment.
  • Assists with troubleshooting end-user issues relating to telephone system features and instruments, video conferencing and remote connectivity of computers.
  • Analyzes problems, develops solutions, and implements computer software and hardware.
  • Uses automated help desk tracking system and other record keeping procedures relating to responsibilities.
  • Assists in the use and maintenance of image capture devices to include scanners and digital cameras.
  • Assists in property inventory tracking.
  • Monitors supplies and equipment inventories for help desk operations.
  • Responsible for configuration and installation of new equipment and software.
Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience. (Note: post high-school education and/or experience may substitute at a comparable rate.)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in demonstrating customer service skills.
  • Experience in communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Experience in documenting existing and new processes.
  • Experience in prioritizing, organizing, and performing multiple work assignments simultaneously.
  • Experience in utilizing problem solving skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word, or equivalent software.
  • Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply related University policies, procedures, principles, and practices.
  • Knowledge of applicable computer software and operating systems.
  • Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures for computer support.
  • Knowledge of computer operations, functions, and related peripherals.

Anticipated Salary Range

$40,000, commensurate with education and experience.
