Service Center - Diesel Mechanic (Center Tx)

Job Details:

This position is responsible for maintenance and preventative maintenance on diesel engine trucks and trailers while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

• 
  Physical Requirements
  
  *Standing, Walking, Bending, stretching, twisting, turning, climbing, push, pulling, stooping, squatting and reaching are required in all areas.
  
  * Lifting 40+ pounds are required in all areas
  
  * Must be able to climb up and down stairs and ladders
  
  * The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; climb or balance
  
  Minimum of 1 year of mechanic work experience documented in the work history section of the application or be a graduate of a maintenance training program. (Can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 1 year.
  
  180 days wait period from last termination date, 3X rule (candidates cannot have worked for Tyson 3X before)
  
  Job Requirements
  
  *This Facility may work 6 days a week, Monday -Saturday, Scheduling can include some major Holidays.
  
  * Must be able to obtain a company License
  
  * Must be able to understand and agree to follow safety Rule(Ie. Lockout/Tagout).
  
  * Must Comply with all DOT, OSHA, and Tyson Rules, regulations, Standards, and policy.
  
  Working Conditions:
  
  * Must be able to work in all-weather/ climate, conditions from very cold to very hot.
  
  * Must be able to work in a dusty environment
  
  8:00 am -4:30 pm Monday -Friday (Might be required to work some Saturdays
