We seek a full-time Senior Water Resources Engineer with a background in stormwater management, erosion, and sediment control design and permitting, hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, drainage design, stream design, construction document production, and construction phase environmental compliance. Responsibilities:

• Manage client relations and development.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to H&H staff.
• Conduct quality control and quality assurance reviews of water resources-related work.
• Develop project scopes of work and price proposals.
• Assist staff in meeting project goals, schedules, and budgets.

• Licensure: Professional Engineer with at least eight years of experience.
• Water resources project experience demonstrating increasing responsibilities and a track record of success.
• Education: Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
• Project experience with Maryland DOT, County, and Municipal clients is preferred.
• Design experience includes hydrology and hydraulics analysis, drainage design, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, bridge and culvert scour analysis and countermeasure design, stream restoration, floodplain permitting, and watershed planning.
• Experience using hydrologic and hydraulic software such as GISHydro NXT , TR-55, TR-20, HY-8, HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, and SWMM model.
• Familiarity with NPDES permit requirements of municipalities and other government entities is preferred.
• Knowledge of Chesapeake Bay TMDL requirements is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Experience developing task proposals and fee estimates.

• Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration
• Read, write, and understand plans and directions given in the English language
• Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team members
• Able to wear GPI required PPE, i.e., hard hats, safety vest, work boots, and/or safety glasses/goggles while working
