Senior Software Engineer

Location - Santa Clara, CA Hybrid or Remote, United States

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic platform team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the technical direction of our projects, leading initiatives, and mentoring other team members. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in developing React.js applications, expertise in GraphQL, and demonstrate exceptional leadership capabilities.

About the Team: You will be joining a Platforms Team, a dedicated group of engineers responsible for maintaining and developing multiple React-based projects. The Platforms Team plays a crucial role in ensuring the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of the development process across the org. As part of this team, you will collaborate closely with other engineers to streamline our development workflows, optimize build and deployment processes, and drive innovation across our technology stack.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical design and implementation of Next.js applications.
  
• Drive best practices for CI/CD pipelines using GitLab Pipelines, ensuring efficient and reliable deployment processes.
  
• Collaborate closely with engineering managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables.
  
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  
• Lead code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality and adherence to coding standards.
  
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive initiatives to enhance team productivity and efficiency.
  
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, evaluating their potential impact on our projects and processes.
  

Requirements:

• Experience in software engineering, with a focus on developing frotnend applications.
  
• Proven expertise in GraphQL and experience with related tools and libraries.
  
• Strong understanding of GitLab Pipelines for CI/CD and experience with related tools and workflows.
  
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead projects, inspire team members, and drive initiatives to successful completion.
  
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  
• Solid understanding of software design principles, data structures, and algorithms.
  
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS is a plus.
  
• Prior experience with mentoring or coaching team members is highly desirable.
  

The pay range for this position is $102,711 to $254,332. The actual pay will vary based on geographic location, job requirements, professional experience, and other factors.
