RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce's client, of NYC's most dynamic and progressive Real Estate firms is seeking a talented, ambitious Senior Property Accountant. The company offers outstanding comp and benefits, a hard-working and fun culture, and a hybrid work option.Duties include:
  • Accounting for property portfolio including A/P review and approval, cash management, bank account reconciliations, wire transfers, and collaboration with property/asset management regarding property operations
  • Monthly GL close and accompanying workpapers
  • Preparing monthly reporting packages for internal and external use (investor, lender compliance, asset management, and development reports)
  • As a Senior Property Accountant, you will be managing the cash flow projection process to meet cash needs
  • Preparing annual budgets and collaborating with the real estate team to ensure accurate information
  • Reviewing tax returns provided by preparers and ensure that the information presented ties with the GL
  • Assisting in the annual audit process
  • Managing lease administration and monthly billing process


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and 5+ years of relevant Real Estate property accounting experience; CPA is a plus
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles
  • Solid computer skills, including MRI, Yardi, Timberline or similar real estate accounting software
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent analytical skills


The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
