Senior Project Manager

Salary: $140,000.00 USD Annually - $180,000.00 USD Annually
Description:
The Project Manager will play a key role in problem-solving and issue resolution in line with PMO guidelines and standard operating procedures. Effective communication, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate across all organizational levels are essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate acute attention to detail and a commitment to seeing projects through completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with senior management, business stakeholders, and project SMEs to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
• Develop, manage, and monitor project plans throughout execution.
• Prepare reporting documentation to monitor, track, and prioritize deliverables.
• Monitor and adjust resource allocation to ensure adequate coverage on project tasks.
• Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure successful completion.
• Identify program risks and develop mitigation plans to minimize impact on deliverables.
• Lead meetings on project status, risks, issues, action items, or change controls.
• Effectively communicate project information and provide direction to stakeholders and the Project Team.
• Coordinate activities across different organizational functions.
• Establish project objectives and evaluation measures upon project completion.
• Report project performance through the PMO and escalate issues as needed to ensure project success.
• Education/Experience/Skills:
• 10+ years of project management experience, including agile and waterfall methodologies, and a proven track record in delivering large projects.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to drive issue resolution.
• Collaborative team player with the ability to make informed decisions.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
• Ability to provide direction to others without a reporting relationship.
• Proficiency in JIRA, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Project, Visio, and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated history of being a team player.
• Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
• Insurance industry experience or familiarity with the insurance lifecycle is advantageous.

Additional Info:

• The client is based in Chicago, IL
• This is a remote opportunity for EST and CST time zones preferred
• Travel onsite is expected every quarter
