SUPPLY CHAIN

Rocket Lab's Supply Chain team is responsible for the flow of all materials, products, and components through the business. With many of our own products functioning as critical components to our own and our customers' missions, the Supply Chain team has a direct impact on the success of our rocket and satellite programs. They set up the assembly kits that enables our technicians to put together our Electron rockets, manage inventory, look after shipping and receiving, manage direct and indirect procurement, and inspect and ensure that all of our materials and products are compliant and up to standard. They are the chain that links our teams together, and are critical to our success.

SENIOR MANAGER, INVENTORY AND LOGISTICS

Based onsite at Rocket Lab's new Middle River, MD facility, the Senior Manager of Inventory and Logistics leads a team responsible for inventory controls & the daily execution activities of expediting, receiving, storage, picking, packing, and local dispatch. This leader will be very hands on working directly with team members to maintain high service levels to internal and external customers, order fulfillment, DIFOT, inventory accuracy and adherence to standard operating procedures.

WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO

  • Direct a team of people responsible for inventory management, material handling, and shipping and receiving.
  • Accountable for inventory controls, perpetual inventory reporting, on-time delivery of material from inventory to production, and packaging solutions to prevent damage to parts.
  • Responsible for implementing systems and processes, to manage bar-coding and bin locations for inventory management.
  • Responsible for inventory planning and kitting process, to deliver materials line-side to production cells.
  • Responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy and cycle counts are meeting Finance requirements.
  • Responsible for ensuring shipping and receiving processes are in place and support procure to pay process.
  • Responsible for receiving Inspection, to ensure parts meet specifications.
  • domestically and abroad.
  • Additional duties as reasonably required.
YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate's degree and 10+ years of experience.
  • 5+ years of related experience in leadership within supply chain
  • Proven ability to manage inventory teams.
  • Proven ability to implement systems and tools for material management.
  • Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems, math and statistics
THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively and efficiently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Team oriented, strong ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment and to multiple deadlines
  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, or other heavy manufacturing.
  • Experience with ERP Systems
  • Prior experience in high-paced, rapid growth environment
