Job Summary and Scope:

THIS HYBRID ROLE- 2 DAYS PER WEEK IN OFFICE, 3 DAYS PER WEEK REMOTE - WILL BE BASED OUT OF OUR HEADQUARTERS IN ATLANTA, GA.

The Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for any combination of financial and business information and analysis in support of the company's reporting, forecasting and planning processes. This position will provide support to their business and finance leaders in accordance with the guidelines provided by corporate FP&A.

This role will provide financial support to assist business leaders in identifying variances in performance, levers to improve performance, and working with the business to implement solutions. Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to: data modeling, development of financial reporting tools, business analysis, forecasting/budgeting, and compliance with corporate and governmental regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Extracts and analyzes financial, economic & operational data to support activity-based modeling and profitability pro formas for domestic customers. Provides insights and recommendations to business leaders on restructuring existing business as well as future business opportunities.
  • Prepare various analyses to support operational efficiency throughout the company's supply chain to ensure business is conducted in a safe and profitable manner
  • Develops enterprise-wide reporting solutions and assists in the roll-out and training of new tools
  • Interacts with clients (typically up to Vice President level) to ensure alignment with various corporate goals and initiatives
  • Works across several business areas to understand key drivers of profitability and works with business leaders to create the necessary measures and reporting to support the companies strategic initiatives
  • Responsible for assistance in preparation of capital requests to support client needs
  • Supports monthly executive business review summary process and will be an active participant on reviews
  • Responsible for review and support of P&L and balance sheet reporting and addressing any issues or variances
  • Responsible for monitoring the monthly close activities and understanding unusual entries and/or accruals
  • Leads planning and forecasting processes for areas of responsibility; responsible for inputting and validating inputs into the Hyperion Planning application
  • Manage various projects of a financial nature at a local, regional, or national level

Required Skills:

  • Advanced spreadsheet and multi-relational data modeling skills
  • Comfortable building automated work flows and reporting solutions
  • Skilled working with large amounts of data in an efficient and scalable manner
  • Working knowledge and direct application of balance sheet, income statement and cash flow concepts
  • Problem solving skills; ability to understand and structure issue resolution
  • Time management skills and capacity to manage priorities and respect and meet important deadlines
  • Must be detail oriented and exercise precision in work
  • Ability to adapt presentation materials to audience and present in front of small groups
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work across multiple functions in the organization

Required Experience/Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required (accounting or finance major preferred)
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in accounting or finance required
  • Experience working with Hyperion and Essbase preferred
  • MBA or CPA is preferred
  • Experience using Microsoft SQL, SSAS, Power Pivot, Power Query, or Power BI is preferred

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

  • Position may require some travel
