Job Responsibilities
 
Pennoni, a leading engineering and design consulting firm, is currently seeking a Senior Engineer/Project Manager, in our Virginia Beach/Hampton Roads, VA office. The ideal candidate will have the following experience:

• Lead and manage projects for VDOT, local governments and agencies in the Hampton Roads and Richmond Areas, including VDOT locally administered transportation projects and multi-disciplinary projects. 
  
  
• Manage client relationships with Public and Private Clients, including contractors. 
  
  
• Provide guidance and mentoring to engineers and technical staff and coordinating highway design tasks with survey, traffic, water resources and bridge staff on transportation improvement projects.
  
  

Required Attributes:

• Providing guidance and mentoring to engineers and technical staff
  
  
• Preparing Proposals and Task Orders for existing contracts and ID/IQs
  
• Support Business Development and Client Engagement efforts (Conferences, Client Meetings, etc)
  
• VDOT Highway and roadway design experience
  
• Bluebeam PDF editor experience a plus
  
• Drainage design, SWM and ES&C design experience.
  
• Utility Design, water and sanitary sewer utility layout experience
  
• Developing Maintenance of Traffic schemes, Construction Phasing and Traffic Control Plans
  
• Developing project cost estimates and specifications, including Special Provisions.
  

Preferred Attributes:

• Excellent communication skills–both oral and written.
• Experience with developing project scopes of work and fee estimates and managing project budgets and invoicing.
