Education: 2 years college or military experience

Experience: Working with at-risk young adults, communication, conflict resolution,
relationship building and problem-solving skills, excellent time management
skills, event organization, program development and training skills.

Supervises: None

Critical Action Items:
1. Schedule and facilitate monthly mandatory resident meetings.
2. Develop programing, schedule, and facilitate twice monthly community building
meetings with the assistance of the Lead Case Manager.
3. Develop and maintain a list of approved organizations and their contacts for resident volunteer opportunities.
4. Monitor compliance and/or non-compliance of Program and Housing guidelines.

Measurable Deliverables:
1. Report at least twice a month to the Lead Case Manager and the related staff
concerning compliance, successes, non-compliance, and concerns.
2. Document all participation, incidents, and maintenance.

Other Responsibilities:
1. Maintain a Community Board with an apartment community calendar and local social, recreational, and volunteer opportunities.
2. Schedule and facilitate community meetings as needed.

3. Develop and maintain a maintenance request system with the assistance of the Lead Case Manager.
4. Schedule and facilitate weekly/monthly facility inspections including the resident's apartments.
5. Be available to supervise scheduled appointments for facility repairs and maintenance.
6. Assist the Case Manager in developing and facilitating life skill workshops.
7. Be available to assist residents with "teachable moment" life skills development.
8. Monitor questionable or unsafe actions or behaviors in the general area of the apartments and contact the Police or Director as needed.
9. Assist with preparing apartments for new residents and cleaning out after resident's departure.
10. Other job duties as assigned.

Requirements:
1. Must live on site in the Transitional Living Program Apartments.
2. Must have a strong commitment to helping young adults succeed in an innovative life skills and training program, to reorient their lives, nurture their leadership skills and enable them to make a difference in their community.
3. Ability to establish rapport and relate sensitively and with consistency to multiracial and multicultural groups of young adults.
4. Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills; and ability to relate to a wide range of issues, people, and institutions.
5. Ability to maintain professional boundaries with clients and others.
6. Ability to organize and prioritize duties and responsibilities efficiently.
7. Ability to work independently.
8. Public speaking, listening and written communication skills.
9. Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and implement training workshops for young adults.
10. Beginner to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
