Job Description Summary
We seek highly motivated individuals with a proven research track record to join Dr. Naji's lab at the School of Medicine of the University of Pennsylvania as a Research Specialist B. Our lab focusses on cell and organ transplantation in both clinical and research areas, as well as diabetes treatment.
We also investigate development and testing of various immune tolerance protocols using preclinical models of non-human primate via islet and/or kidney transplantation. A research technician is sought to participate in some aspects of these exciting projects, including assistance in surgical operations, islet cell isolation, functional analysis, immune monitoring, and data analysis. Expertise in one or more of the following areas is preferred: molecular and cellular biology, stem cell and regenerative biology, surgical techniques and animal treatment experiments, bioinformatics is preferred.
Position is contingent upon continued grant funding.
Qualifications: Bachelor of Science and 1 - 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
