Registry-Registered Nurse/RN, Inpatient, PRN - (As Needed) - Night Shift (7:00 pm - 7:30 am), Chicago, IL
La Rabida is currently recruiting Registry/(PRN) Staff Registered Nurses/(RN) to join our inpatient team in Chicago, IL. We are a small children's acute care hospital focused on treating complex medical conditions, chronic illnesses, developmental disabilities, and abuse and trauma. Our nurses are focused on providing exceptional patient care to children while helping families face unique challenges.
The Registry (PRN)/Registered Nurse will report to the Patient Care Manager. The Staff RN role focuses on developing skills to guide him/her over a continuum of basic patient care through more complex assignments and assessing the needs of chronically ill children using effective communication with patients, families, and team members. The Staff RN uses the nursing process in a family-centered interdisciplinary context to coordinate care and achieve team goals.
Staff Registered Nurse (RN) Education and Experience Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Nurses with Associates degrees will be considered if they have significant prior experience in pediatric care
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Illinois
- At least three (3) to five (5) years of pediatric nursing experience required.
- Specialized knowledge & Skills - Growth & Development, Family Centered Philosophy
- CPR Certification Required - Only certifications issued by the American Heart Association, or the American Red Cross will be considered.
