Overview
Develops strategies to effectively implement rapid continuous improvement and lean principles. Position is the key change agent moving the organization culture to lean. Lead the site improvement initiatives by educating, training, and modeling rapid continuous improvement practices. Coordinates/channels corporate RCI support to accomplish group and site improvement objectives.
Responsibilities
- Identifies and implements RCI initiatives which reduces cost, time and/or improves service, quality, educates, trains.
- Facilitates local RCI activities
- Counsels/coaches employees regarding RCI processes and tools.
- Evaluates and reports results of the rapid continuous improvement initiatives.
- Builds a team of lean thinkers at the facility evident by the acceleration of improvements made.
- Develops expertise by participation in outside improvement events.
Qualifications
- College degree in engineering or physical sciences with Lean Manufacturing, Process or manufacturing engineering experience,
- Five or more years in high impact work experience in a leadership role
- Effective communicator with strong stand-up skills
- Able to learn and apply new processes
- Self-motivated and well organized
- Can adapt leadership style according to the situation
