Job Description:

Under direct supervision, typically performs analytical work of limited complexity or difficulty related to manufacturing Quality Assurance or Quality Control. Applies broad theoretical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education. May require assistance from more senior level professionals to complete assigned work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts and documents quality assurance programs.
  • Informs and advises plant management on all quality-related issues.
  • Performs periodic testing and documents results for certification and compliance purposes.
  • Addresses customer complaints. Follows up as necessary.
  • Writes reports, files, and other administrative paperwork.
  • Monitors adherence to established quality standards. May recommend changes.
  • Ensures compliance in the safe handling of hazardous materials and waste.
  • Informs and coordinates activities with other departments and outside functions.
  • Incorporates and maintains safety observances, including but not limited to, use of all PPE, ensuring guards and safety features are working, and promoting good daily safety practices and habits.
  • May be responsible for plant level safety activities.
  • May be responsible for other administrative responsibilities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
  • Typically possesses a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and up to 2 years of relevant experience.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Demonstrated skills in verbal and written communications.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to work with various testing equipment.
  • Fundamental understanding of a plant manufacturing operation.
  • Fundamental understanding of computer operation and software.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local regulations, and ISO 9000 standards.
