Quality Control Inspector
Smart & Final is searching for an experienced Quality Control Inspector for our Riverside Distribution Center located at 2360 Cottonwood Ave, Riverside, CA 92508.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Summary:
The Quality Control Inspector reports to the Receiving Area Manager of the Riverside distribution center and Develops programs, conducts audits, and addresses quality control issues. The QA assurance inspector interfaces and submits reports to the Buying, Warehouse Operations, and Customer Service teams. The inspector serves as a liaison between all departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Conducts audits of perishable product
- Performs product sampling and testing
- Ensures that all product received meets company standards in regards to quality
- Monitors inventory checking specifically for quality control issues
- Supports business processes, standard operating procedures and operational productivity
- Completes reports and submits to Warehouse Operations, Buying, Customer Service, and upper level Management
- Provides statistical analysis of receiving, storage, shipping, and transportation
- Presents vendor and operational performance to Warehouse Management
- Ensures all safety programs and sanitation standards are maintained according to Smart & Final standards.
- Makes decisions on collection of sound statistical data i.e. QC HOLD
- Completes daily and weekly operational reporting
- Reports quantitative analysis
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Education and/or Experience: Some college or degree preferred. Three (3) years' experience with perishables and produce standards, and three (3) years warehouse operations experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
COMPENSATION: The starting hourly rate for this position is $33.00 per hour . The actual starting pay will be determined by a number of qualifications; including, experience and relevant skills.
