Description:

  • Client Rapid Diagnostics is part of Client's Diagnostics family of businesses, bringing together exceptional teams of experts and industry leading technologies to support diagnostic testing which provides important information for treatment and management of diseases and other conditions.
  • The position of Project Manager is within our Infectious Disease business.
  • This role will perform basic project planning, execute plan, work through metrics, track and communicate project status through the entire project cycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage multiple new product development and product support projects
  • Lead development and execution of project plans integrating cross-functional deliverables
  • Establish project metrics (scope, schedule, quality) to manage and continuously improve project performance
  • Collaborate with functional managers to assign appropriate skillset to projects and monitors performance
  • Establish project budget and actively manage project budget performance
  • Actively manage project risk activities
  • Manage and coordinate project activities to deliver projects from concept to commercialization
  • Responsible for conducting design reviews and ensuring proper completion of project deliverables
  • Drives resolution of team project issues, risks, and/or conflicts
  • Provide timely and effective project communications to key stakeholders
  • Lead and/or support business process improvement activities to continuously improve project deliverables
  • Manages change requests, identify and document all schedule impacts, and communicate approved changes to all team members
  • Follows best practices, processes, and standard methods for project planning
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS | EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's Degree in science or engineering plus on the job experience in project management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in medical devices/medical diagnostics industry
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in project or program management role
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master's Degree in Science, Engineering or other technical field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Research & Development role.
  • Project Management Certification (PMP)
  • Certified Scrum Master
COMPETENCIES:
  • Strong knowledge of product life-cycle management and process development
  • Ability to demonstrate strong leadership, influencing and collaboration skills
  • Ability to clearly communicate plan, status, risk, issue, schedule, and impact to project teams and functional managers.
  • Ability to follow project management philosophy, think logically across the project level
  • Ability to manage project scope, schedule, and hold team accountable for results
  • Strong self-motivation and ability to self-start
  • Ability to work and build relationships cross functionally
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment
  • Strong knowledge in project management best practices including Scrum methodology.
