We are searching for an experienced Physical Security Program Manager with an active clearance at the TS/SCI Poly++ level who will be responsible for implementing physical security strategies, policies, procedures, and protocols in a 24x7 environment to ensure the safety and security of our clients organization's facilities and assets. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in physical security management, preferably in a law enforcement environment, in-house security operations, or with a licensed security agency, and will possess strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a geographically disbursed team of (45+) Physical Security Professionals ensuring they are qualified and trained to enforce standard security operating procedures and policies to include security administration, asset control and management, physical security, information security, and emergency response in classified environments
  • Implement physical security strategies, policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure the safety and security of the client's facilities and assets
  • Conduct training in accordance with program requirements to include SOPs for work areas, access control and management, emergency response plans, escort procedures, incident reporting, secure terminal equipment (STE), etc.; ensuring program officers/staff are trained
  • Create and maintain an official Officer work schedule for all shifts in support of 24x7x365 multiple facilities geographically disbursed
  • Coordinate with site leads to regularly review/audit projects to ensure they are following program SOPs
  • Ensure program is executed according to schedule, within budget and according to program standards
  • Provide Daily Activity Report (DAR) for each shift, for all work area locations, in accordance with established procedures
  • Develop and execute security awareness and training programs to promote a security-conscious culture across the program
  • Manage investigations into security breaches and incidents and provide appropriate responses and recommendations
  • Conduct periodic inspections and inventories to ensure that processes relating to Audit and Compliance, Access Control, and Security Operations are following program SOP and policies
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures related to physical security
  • Manage and ensure adherence with visitor access procedures as defined by program. Includes visitor access logs, visitor badges, server room, and other Secure Work Areas
  • Conduct after-action reviews as required
  • The Program Manager will be a strong problem solver and proactively anticipates project challenge and plans against them to minimize the impact to the program
  • Develop meaningful and clear visuals for senior leadership that convey status of security program
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with client, internal stakeholders, vendors, contractors, and other external stakeholders to ensure alignment, efficiency, and effectiveness to achieve program results
  • Must be willing to be on call and have availability to assume posts and take officer shifts in the local area are when required
Requirements:
  • Active clearance: TS/SCI w/ Poly++
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related field
  • Possess required state (VA) physical security certifications, license, and registration
  • 5+ years of experience in managing physical security installations as well as 5+ years security project management experience in a complex geographical disbursed environment
  • Strong knowledge of security principles and practices, including access control, intrusion detection, CCTV, and alarm systems
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with experience managing geographically disbursed teams
  • Ability to identify and assess risks and threats and develop mitigation strategies
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data to support decision-making
  • Experience working with vendors, contractors, and other external stakeholders to ensure the security of facilities and assets.
  • Knowledge of relevant local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to physical security
Desired:
  • 5 years full-time experience in law enforcement with a federal, state, county, or municipal police department
