Job Title:Post Doctoral Scholar

Department:Arts and Sciences | Sociology

The Department of Sociology, within the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks a Post-Doctoral Researcher to assist with projects headed by Professor Samuel J. Clark. The production of robust, well documented, and user friendly software is particularly important for tools used to analyze verbal autopsy data, which serve a key function for many countries in the early stages of developing their civil registration and vital statistics system. Finally, the research team headed by Professor Clark will also be writing new proposals to obtain external funding for continuing to advance the methodology and tools for the study and analysis of mortality, morbidity, and verbal autopsy data.

Strong data analytic skills (statistical methodology and machine learning); command of a computer programming language (e.g., Python, C/C++, Julia, R); experience working as a researcher or research assistant analyzing data; experience with computer programming.
