Job Summary

Responsible for identifying and documenting the necessary details (labor, material, tools, tasks and special instructions) for completing an approved work order within Maximo; building and publishing a schedule of maintenance related work activities that aligns with operational requirements and optimizes craftworker timeutilization. Supports the upkeep and maintenance of equipment master data within Maximo and the extraction of relevant information from Maximo to support the analysis of key performance indicators and continuous improvement efforts.

What you will be responsible for

  • Constructsdetailed work plans from approved and prioritized list of maintenance work orders. The planner will review necessary job details in the field then construct a detailed work plan that includes the necessary steps to perform the job, identify the craftworkerand labor hours to complete each task, identify, reserve or purchase the necessary materials andthird partyservices, and document any necessary special instructions or documentation required.
  • Solicitsbids, issuesrequisitions, and ensures goods and services needed to complete maintenance jobs are available utilizing the current procurement process.
  • Developsand optimizesjob plans and acquiresfeedback to enable the increased productivity of the planning function and improve work efficiency in the field.
  • Buildsand maintainspreventive and predictive maintenance job plans in accordance with company procedures and providesfeedback for improvements.
  • Participatesin discussions with maintenance, operations and engineering to develop and publish weekly and daily schedules that meet operation's needs, business objectives and optimize the available manpower and services.
  • Identifiesspare parts and linksto the equipment within Maximo.
  • Reviewsrelevant data to improve the utilization of Maximo in support of the maintenance process.
  • Supportsthe turnaround process.
  • Assistswith the setup of new equipment and the corresponding preventive and predictive maintenance activities in Maximo.
  • Servesas the local subject matter expert on the maintenance work process andMaximo, andprovidestraining and mentoring to local work groups.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in themechanicalmaintenance of gas processing, petrochemical or refinery plant process equipment such as but not limited to:
  • Machinery maintenance and troubleshooting - gas engine and reciprocating compressor a plus
  • Valves, pipe and vessels including tanks, towers
  • Basic instrumentation and electrical systems
  • Working knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Working knowledge of fundamental planning and scheduling processes and tools.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel.
  • Has a work history that demonstrates the ability to work both as a collaborative team member and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Can communicate effectively with others orally, in writing, and in a training environment.
  • Can utilize computer systems to find technical and financial information on the network / internet when applicable.
Special Demands
  • This job primarily operates in a professional office environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc. Noise level is typically low. Frequently in a stationary, sitting position for prolonged periods of time. Regularly moves about inside the office to complete tasks, attend meetings or to access the copy machine or file cabinets. Periodically pulls/pushes doors open to move around the office. Occasionally may lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds.
