Department Information
The Auxiliary Marketing and Communications team of 6 full-time professionals and 3 student interns provides a full range of services to the departments listed below. In addition to websites, social media, and Salesforce marketing accounts, we also provide copy writing, graphic design, marketing planning and implementation, photography, and videography services. Our clients are direct service operations of the university that include Campus Bus, Campus Mail Services, Document Services, Early Childhood Education Services (childcare), Fleet Services, IU Dining and Hospitality, IU Catering, Parking Operations, Housing Operations, Surplus Store, and Transportation Demand Management.
Job Summary
This is a part-time temporary role for a series of educational commercials about the need for personal property insurance coverage.
Department Specific Responsibilities
- Responsible for portraying role in production to interpret character.
- Reads scripts, take cues, and rehearse with others when preparing for and acting out a role.
- Interprets serious or comic roles by speech, gesture, and body movement to inform audience for visual media production.
- Collaborates with production team to interpret and perform character.

Working Conditions / DemandsThis role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The position requires the ability to lift up to 10 pounds on occasion. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
Additional InformationApplications will be accepted until June 3, 2024, and then, if needed, on a rolling basis until the position is filled. Individuals are encouraged to apply prior to this date for first consideration. Interviews/auditions are tentatively scheduled for the week of June 10, 2024 depending on applicant pool.
Work LocationBloomington, Indiana
Work HoursThe work will be performed primarily indoors in residence and dining halls on campus in late June, early July 2024 during normal business hours (Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM).
Total production is estimated to take approximately 10 - 20 hours
