The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders is seeking an instructor starting August 16, 2024.
The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of North Dakota (UND) seeks a part-time instructor to teach courses in American Sign Language. The American Sign Language course will be offered in-person, on-campus in fall 2024. This position may be offered again in spring 2025, contingent upon enrollment, funding, and satisfactory performance.
The Department offers undergraduate and graduate master's degree programs in communication sciences and disorders. The department currently has eight full-time and four part-time faculty members, and a state-of-the-art clinic facility. The department typically has about 80 undergraduate and 40 graduate students enrolled.
Course instruction of CSD 103 (American Sign Language I), 3 credits.
Required CompetenciesIn compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. This position does not support visa sponsorship for continued employment.
Preferred QualificationsWork Schedule/Start Date: August 16, 2024, to December 31, 2024
Estimated hours per week are 6 - 8.
