REQUIRED SKILLS:
• SECRET Security Clearance
• 15+ years of experience with Design, Implementation and Troubleshooting of Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN)
• 15+ years of experience with Cisco routers and switches & Cisco IOS implementations
• 15+ years of experience utilizing Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) network protocols
• 5+ years of experience with written and verbal communication and presentations
• Extensive experience with Palo Alto firewall implementations
PREFERRED SKILLS:
• Advanced understanding of Tiered Network Design - 3-tier vs. 2-tier and Collapsed Core.
• Advanced understanding Routing protocols such as BGP, OSPFv2 & OSPFv3, IS-IS and EIGRP.
• Advanced understanding of Data Center Protocols such VXLAN, EVPN, MSTP, and RSTP.
• Advanced understanding of WAN Topologies and Protocols such as MPLS and Frame Relay.
• Advanced understanding of Content Load Balancing and Web Application Firewalling.
• Advanced understanding of Monitoring protocols such as SNMP, RMON and WMI.
• Advanced understanding of Identity Management including Cisco Identity Services Engine, Active Directory, LDAP, and Multi Factor Authentication systems including RSA SecurID and TOTP.
• Advanced understanding of network security systems including VPNs, Firewalls, and IDS/IPS.
• Advanced understanding of Server Administration including Windows, Linux, and MacOS.
• Understanding of Virtualization platforms including VMWare ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, Oracle VirtualBox, and Linux KVM.
• Works collaboratively with other stakeholders (Transport, Metropolitan Area Network (MAN)/Wide Area Network (WAN), Structured Cabling, Project Manager, etc.) in focused, agile-inspired sprint teams.
• Provides Level 3 Incident/Problem Management support in preventative, proactive and reactive maintenance to meet service restoration and network availability objectives, using network analysis and monitoring tools.
• Supports and participates in component research to provide input for more comprehensive evaluation.
• Exercises critical thinking and innovative problem solving.
