Primary Function:

The National Accounts Manager (NAM) is responsible for driving the NA business by securing sales and implementing those programs operationally through the NA team; the development and direct supervision of the project management and engineering resources. The NAM is tasked with coordinating estimating, purchasing, manufacturing, finishing, fabrication, shipping/receiving, and all necessary internal and external resources pertinent to National Accounts to support the Brands. The NAM will work in conjunction with the NA Sales Manager supporting the development of new project and program opportunities for the National Accounts Team as well as guiding existing accounts into deeper commitments.

Responsibilities:

Product / Industry Knowledge

  • Professional development and training of NA Engineers, Project/Program Managers and Coordinators.
  • Support National Accounts Sales with engineering, design, program development, including on-site support when needed
Scheduling & Supply Chain
  • Direct supervision of NA Program Managers, Project Managers and Coordinators
  • Management of a CPM schedule for all accounts and activities
  • Establish and manage inventory control and material management programs
Estimating
  • NA brands will be scheduled and coordinated through the Customer Service Supervisor's estimating team. In this role, the National Accounts Manager will be responsible for understanding the client needs and insuring that programs are properly monitored and developed with the support of the National Accounts team.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a related program
  • Product and technical knowledge of glazing systems, glass, entrances, hardware, heavy glass doors, and metal panels a plus. A minimum 10 years of glazing industry experience
  • Have strong product and construction industry knowledge
  • Manage front end scheduling and supply chain
  • Garner the highest level of internal/supplier performance to support this strategic focus area
  • Identify and manage all unique customer and program requirements
  • Map current project delivery processes, refine, remove obstacles, and repeat as needed
  • Lead training and implementation of project management tools
  • Develop CPM schedules to better define and manage the project delivery process
  • Identify and level resource needs
  • Monitor the tracking and management system for NA inventory
  • Evaluate the engineering and drafting requirements and develop an action plan for improving
  • Track OTIF and develop and implement actions to achieve goal
  • Regular and predictable attendance, safely perform tasks and adherence to and promotion of all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of this job
