Baer is looking for Mid Level Backend Developer for a 3-month Federal Remote Project.

Title: Mid Level Backend Developer
Location: Remote (Must be based in US)
Duration: 3 month
Rate: All-inclusive
Alignment: W2 or C2C (Vendors Not Permitted)

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable and efficient backend solutions within the Kafka application.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code in Java.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure seamless integration with front-end components.
• Work closely with the testing team to ensure high-quality deliverables by addressing bugs and implementing necessary changes.
• Ensure the integration of various backend services with the Kafka application, optimizing performance and scalability.
• Utilize AWS services to enhance the backend infrastructure, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in backend development.
• Continuously improve existing systems and processes by adopting best practices and implementing new technologies.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Apache Kafka: 3+ years of experience in developing and managing Kafka-based applications.
• Structured Query Language (SQL): 3+ years of experience with SQL, including writing complex queries and optimizing database performance.
• Java: 3+ years of experience in Java development, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS): 3+ years of experience with AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with other backend technologies and frameworks.
• Knowledge of RESTful API design and development.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
