RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Culver City, CA that is seeking a Media Technology Developer.Responsibilities:- Resourcing for internal toolset development maintenance and management such as support to build automation tools to serialize data from API/MRSS to an internally hosted database such as MySQL or/and Postgres
- Assisting with building CLI or GUI tool to transpose data sheets like excel to a database
- M eeting with the manager and other stakeholders within Video Services to review technical requirements
- Help develop, enhance, and manage toolsets written in Java, Python, Scala
- Support the Media Technology maintain and manage Video Services internal toolsets and work to enhance existing functionalities
- Conceptualize technical requirements generated from internal stakeholders and work with the manager to deliver solutions
- Participate in regularly hosted prototyping/dev stand up session with media tech engineers, ops stake holders and document issues, strategize solutions
- Collaborate with other media tech engineers on various dev related projects
- Manage bulk reconciliation of media metadata stored on cloud storage
- Maintain existing automation scripts and build enhancements on tools such as: Transposing REST API data feed to RDMS/ETL jobs; Transposing Excel to SQLDB; CLI programs utilizing external system's Rest API
- Help manage Video Services GitHub repositories
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficient in Python, Django, Flask, JavaScript, HTML, other general purpose languages such as Java, Scala
- Understanding of best practices for code management in collaborative environment using GitHub
- Proficiency in Version control systems like Git
- Familiarity working with cloud storage such as Google cloud, AWS S3
- Proficient in data analytic tools/libraries such as Pandas/NumPy, etc.
- Experience with REST API in backend integration
- Experience working with multimedia based assets such as QuickTime videos, audio, subtitles
- Understanding of different media codecs/specs (frame rate, resolution, different audio configurations)
- Basic understanding of the terminal and BASH scripting
- RDMS - Postgres, MSSQL, MySQL
- Document and Semi Structural - AWS Redshift
- JSON/XML
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
