Title: Mech Sys Design & Analysis Engr (Need Active Secret)
Location: Hazelwood, MO
Duration: 12 Months with possible extension
Job Description:
• Supports the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment requirements to establish the system design.
• Supports the development, maintenance or modification of system, component and installation designs/proposals to provide design documentation to downstream groups.
• Performs and documents analyses to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
• Contributes to supplier development, test and production activities and directs the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals.
• Supports system components'' designs/proposals standards to provide installation and detail documentation.
• Trains others. Works under general direction.
• Regular and predictable attendance is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
• Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
• Experience with Unigraphics NX
• Experience creating engineering drawings.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
• 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical system design
• 3+ years of experience with a mechanical design tool
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• Experience in mechanical or aircraft system design.
• Experience with instrumentation hardware used in test such as strain gages, accelerometers, thermocouples, or fluid flow sensors.
• Experience with fabrication methods such as CNC machining, sheet metal forming, and assembly with aerospace fasteners.
• Experience in prototyping or rapid product development.
• Experience with PDM software such as Teamcenter or Enovia.
• Proficiency in Unigraphics NX.
Education / Experience:
• Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.
