Materials Coordinator

Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm, pay range $27-32 hourly.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Materials Specialist plays a crucial role in our manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, monitoring material availability, and coordinating with various teams to support the production schedule. The Materials Coordinator will work closely with the Supply Chain Manager and other department heads to optimize materials management processes and maintain a smooth production workflow.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Process initiated change controls as required. This includes setting up or revising Bills of Materials within the ERP system, reviewing all required documents
o Follow-up with various departments
o Routing change controls for review and signatures.
* Verify within ERP system that all raw materials and components are in-house to identify whether a customer order is fully supported and can be sent over to the Sr. Planner for scheduling
* Log, route, and process disposable authorizations (DA's) requests to completion.
o Maintain disposal log
o Data entry to relieve inventory
* Process sequential lot code documentation from Production as needed.
o Enter information on excel templates and maintain logs
o Provide documentation to Brand customers as requested
* Assist Sr. Planner with closing of work orders
o Verify labor hours, machine hours and material usage
* Update monthly variance reports with closed work order information
* Monitor and maintain item master description in the ERP system by utilizing various system reports and tracking results
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend changes to optimize materials management and reduce waste

Qualifications:
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing planning, production scheduling, or related roles.
* Strong understanding of production processes, capacity planning, and demand forecasting.
* Proficiency in using manufacturing software, ERP systems, and advanced planning tools.
* Proficiency in using MS Excel.
