Summary of Role:

GlobalFoundries Fab 9 is seeking experienced professionals to support the feature rich 200mm semiconductor manufacturing and development in Essex Junction, VT. The Quality Assurance team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Quality Manager to oversee a team of quality engineers responsible for managing all Quality Management for Fab 9: Non-conforming materials disposition, internal excursion management, corrective action/preventive action, FMEA, Out-going quality inspection, change management, internal and external quality audit program, ESD oversight and calibration. The successful candidate for this position will have demonstrated success in working cross organizationally to enable robust quality systems and processes to deliver best in class satisfaction. In this role, your duties will include supervising all aspects of manufacturing quality management listed above.
This manager will be part of the Fab 9 quality assurance team endeavoring to improve Fab 9 business processes aligned with global and industry standards in support of operational excellence, improved performance and delivering business policy changes that help manage risk to the Fab 9 team and consistent with our future customer portfolio. Please note, this is an on-site position at the Essex Junction, VT facility.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Oversee team representation across all corporate QMS forums.
  • Provide leadership in developing and fostering the quality mindset within the Fab 9 community.
  • Strategize and lead internal quality initiatives to support business needs and evolving customer needs
  • Own and drive all manufacturing quality metrics to targets and drive continuous improvement (Excursions, Near Misses, On-time submission, AI closure, Escapes, etc)
  • Drive timely and effective closure of internal corrective/preventive action process and prevent recurrence through robust problem solving and 8D methodology
  • Work with global quality teams to ensure we strive for ONEGF policy, practices and principles.
  • Be a catalyst to enable risk-based thinking & quality mindset culture Fab9 Supporting various departments by collecting and coordinating internal quality processes across various departments, conducting ad hoc investigations into identified or reported risks, managing and reporting compliance breaches and exposures.
  • Enable a robust business process to enable successful executions of all elements to support each individual process flow here in Fab9.
  • Work closely with the Process Integration, Advanced Module Engineering and all other support group stakeholders for successful execution of all the needed steps of each process within the specific business processes scope.
  • Own, drive the KPI (Key Process Indicators) for each business process to and drive continuous improvements by identifying opportunities for improvements.
  • Drive continuous improvements to key systems and business process through structured training program implementation.
  • Support global quality initiatives on business process and system improvements.

Other Responsibilities:
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Required Qualifications
  • B.S. Degree in Engineering or other related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience - 5+ years relevant experience in the semiconductor industry with direct customer engagement experience
  • Experience - 3+ years management experience or relevant experience to demonstrate team leadership skills.
  • Good written, presentation, communication skills and interact with all levels

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Leadership skills to drive a high-performance team with hands on experience on excellent problem solving/troubleshooting skills
  • Strong knowledge and applied experience in overall Quality Management systems such as Control Plan, FMEA, SPC, Corrective Action Requests, 8D problem solving methodologies other quality tools etc.,
  • ISO9001:2015/IATF16949, auditor certification preferable
  • Able to withstand and perform under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Experience with multi and cross functional environments
  • Experience in fostering a quality culture with customer perspective.

Expected Salary Range
$99,000.00 - $187,900.00
