This position plays a critical role in JDRF's donor support, acknowledgement, data entry, and data integration between fundraising applications, CRM, ERP, and third-party partners. The Manager, Donor Support will manage one Specialist, and will work to provide a high-quality donor experience. The Manager, Donor Support will ensure the responsibilities of the team is completed within an established set of service-level agreements (SLAs) with our Chapter leadership, National Development leadership, and third-party partners.

This position will work closely with members of the Finance team, National Development and Chapters to support donor related matters and to ensure timely and accurate acknowledgements. This position will also work with and support National Development and will foster and drive an environment of continuous improvement. The Manager, Donor Support will serve as the enterprise Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for donation knowledge, coding, processing, and acknowledgement. This position requires outstanding customer service skills, research and organizational skills, communication skills, and business acumen.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Fielding donor calls and emails for questions on ways to give, missing tax receipts and other donor inquiries.
  • Provide guidance and support to assigned chapters regarding donor issues and donations.
  • Managing stock gift administration
  • Partner with the accounting team for nonstandard donations including electronic funds transfers, donor advised funds, stock gifts, and other nonstandard donations
  • Research to identifying missing information for donations and donors (IRAs, Stock Gifts, WPG, etc)
  • Gaining and maintaining knowledge of all ways to give, educating chapters and donors on how to make donations via the various methods. Updating information for donors and chapters as needed.
  • All offline acknowledgements not done by third party partners.
  • Jira ticket management, including outbound response calls
  • Support to Chapters and National teams for donation related questions.

EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:
  • 3+ years progressive experience in an accounting, finance, or business administration role. Experience in customer service and nonprofit organizations preferred
  • College degree or equivalent work experience
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Experience with Salesforce, Workday/ERP applications, and fundraising applications strongly preferred
  • Experience implementing projects that include data and system Integrations
  • Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required
  • Working knowledge of JDRF financial policies and revenue coding business rules strongly preferred
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to handle multiple projects
  • Excellent communications skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Pro-active approach focused on problem solving
  • Fast learner and able to link diverse sources of information to the business, including ability to handle confidential information and materials with appropriate discretion
  • Ability to work and make judgments independently and take initiative
  • Well-disciplined and a self-starter that is extremely resourceful

Travel Requirements: The Manager may be required from time to time to travel Chapter locations and/or National headquarters. Travel will be < 5%.

Targeted Salary Range: 65-80K
