Job Description

Key Responsibilities and Priorities:

  • Safety is our number one priority. This role will promote safety culture through safety toolbox talks, safety committee participation, & positive reinforcement programs
  • Assist with facility set up
  • Read and analyze assembly and electrical prints/bills of material and order acknowledgement documentation to plan machine building operations.
  • Fit and assemble components according to specifications using proper tools and verifying conformance of parts.
  • Assemble, set-up and may operate machine to verify functioning, machine capabilities and conformance.
  • May form and fasten pneumatic and hydraulic lines, fixtures, and attachments required to service machine with air and oil. May install wiring, electrical components and panel building to specifications.
  • May debug assemblies and machines by identifying and correcting problems affecting proper operation.
  • Identify and communicate with project team regarding build issues and documentation.
  • Follow prescribed standard work with utilization of Gemba walks while maintaining a strong floor presence
  • May prepare equipment for customer shipment.
  • Clean, maintain and organize work area and all equipment.
  • Monitor employee breaks and lunches communicate appropriately if any issues.
  • Delegate appropriate housekeeping tasks daily to ensure the workplace is left clean and safe for the following day's start.
  • Foster a positive, professional working relationship with all leads, supervisors, and management at Ancra Cargo.
  • Monitor direct report's performance and the performance of their teams. Coach, direct, and train employees to maximize results and improve the plant culture
  • Assist with developing training plans for assigned production team
  • Assist with trouble shooting machine problems, component issues, material handling, and other issues that develop during assigned shift to maintain productivity and overall quality
  • Work with operations and engineering to communicate problems that need to be addressed and assigning priorities
  • Fill in for other supervisors as needed by working extra hours as assigned
  • Communicate and work effectively with other supervisors, managers and other company personnel to meet company objectives
  • Effectively communicate with supervisor regarding material inventory, shop supply inventory and product scheduling
Experience Required:
  • 5+ years of industrial machine assembly and wiring experience required
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience
  • Working knowledge of and troubleshooting of digital electronics and logic circuits; experience in use of diagnostic systems; knowledge of Allen-Bradley Programable Logistic Controllers (PLC) is required.
  • Advanced ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to obtain Heavy Lift Certification and Industrial Powered Vehicles License
  • Advanced ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Fluency in English

Schedule Expectations:

  • Salaried employees are expected to work a minimum of 8 hours daily, and may exceed or decrease based on business need.
  • Weekend work: when applicable leadership must be onsite while production/operations is running, this task will be split between supervisors when needed.

Working Conditions/Travel Requirements:

  • This position requires physical mobility to walk around the facility, lift items up to 50 lbs., navigate stairs & ladders, bend, kneel & reach overhead and ability to operate a forklift.
  • Normal manufacturing environments should be expected. Use of safety glasses, safety shoes, and hearing protection may be required.
  • International travel will be required during onboarding. Ongoing travel will be primarily local during the business day.

  • Must possess a valid driver license.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to obtain a passport.
