Exeter Job Corps is currently looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who is passionate and committed to joining our healthcare team. As an LPN, you will have a significant role in providing top-notch healthcare services to our students, thereby contributing to their overall wellness. Monday-Friday, 7am-4pm

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible to provide preventative and emergency health services and wellness education to students. Evaluates, determines and recommends appropriate medical, mental health and dental services for student population. Ensures confidentiality of sensitive information and compliance with all HIPAA laws.

  • Healthcare Delivery:
    • Provide comprehensive nursing care to students, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of their healthcare needs.
    • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
    • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure the overall health and safety of students.
  • Health Education:
    • Conduct health education sessions to promote wellness and preventive care among students.
    • Empower students to make informed decisions regarding their health and lifestyle choices.
  • Health Records Management:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date health records for each student.
    • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Emergency Response:
    • Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide immediate care.
    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate emergency responses.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with the healthcare team, including physicians, registered nurses, and other support staff.
    • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and external healthcare providers.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Participate in quality assurance initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of healthcare services.
    • Implement evidence-based practices to improve health outcomes.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • LPN Certification from an accredited program and a valid, active, unrestricted RI license to practice as an LPN required
  • Minimum of one year of health care experience strongly preferred though a new LPN graduate will also be considered
