Job Summary:

We are looking for a Lead Stability Reliability Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining stability and governance of critical applications in the Classic FI Clearing, Messaging, and Utilities space. They will work in a DevOps environment to ensure the smooth operation of the bank's clearing systems in four key markets. The ideal candidate should have a comprehensive understanding of stability engineering, automation, and strategic initiatives in the payment and Swift messaging environments. Additionally, they should possess the required qualifications and demonstrate a commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work in a DevOps environment to maintain stability and governance of critical applications.

• Develop stability-related enhancements, including enhanced monitoring, automation of manual tasks, and reporting.

• Propose and implement strategic initiatives across Payment and Swift Messaging environments.

• Drive teams to provide fit-for-purpose solutions as required.

• Own and execute BCP/DR exercise for MTS.

• Collaborate with SD/Database/Network/Infrastructure teams to improve platform service offerings.

• Collaborate with delivery teams to provide fit-for-purpose solutions.

• Engage with Audit, Risk, and Governance teams to ensure compliance with bank policies.

• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of governance across Standard Chartered Bank.

• Lead scrum teams for the SRE function for MTS Payments and Swift to achieve desired outcomes.

Key Criteria:

• Comprehensive understanding of stability engineering principles.

• Experience working in a DevOps environment.

• Strong knowledge of payment and Swift messaging environments.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Ability to drive and implement strategic initiatives.

• Proficiency in risk management and governance.

• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams.

• Thorough understanding of regulatory and business conduct.

Additional Assets:

• Experience in BCP/DR exercises.

• Familiarity with SD/Database/Network/Infrastructure teams.

• Previous engagement with Audit, Risk, and Governance functions.

Expected annual base pay range for the role is 150,000 USD to 206,000 USD. The final offer will be determined on an individualised basis using a number of variables, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and education, internal relativity, and specific work location. At Standard Chartered Bank, Base pay is only part of the total compensation package.
