A client of ours, a reputable non-profit organization located in Newark, NJ is currently seeking a Junior Accountant to join their growing team. If you have previous experience as an accountant, and is looking for an opportunity where it serves purpose to the community, then this position is for you!

Job Title: Junior Accountant

Job Type: Long term temporary (6 months)

Job Schedule: 100% on site, dayshift

Salary: Up $63,000/year, depending on experience

Resonsibilities:

**Cash management not limited to; recording cash receipt, recording receivables, preparing bank reconciliations

* Prepare monthly close journal entries and update financial data in the database to ensure information will be accurate and available when needed

* Accounts Payable entry and perform reconciliation

* Enter budgets

* Review, analyze GL accounts on weekly basis to ensure all transactions are recorded

* Assist with other special projects and other task that may assign by Controller and CFO

* Knowledge of accounting principles

* Bank reconciliation knowledge

* Knowledge of fund accounting

*Accounting degree Preferred

* Knows non for profit accounting is a plus

* Must have Abila/Sage MIP accounting experience

* Microsoft Office Experience

* Ability to work in a fast pace environment
