Journeyman Mold Maker

Primary Function: The individual is responsible for inspecting and maintaining all aspects of mold equipment that is used in the glass making process. The individual must inspect, repair, and redesign mold as necessary to meet customer specifications and quality standards.

Supervised By: Mold Shop Manager/ Lead Person

Working Procedure:

Inspects and repairs molds damaged during the bottle making process.

Inspects and repairs new mold equipment, as needed.

Polishes repaired areas in mold equipment.

Makes any necessary revisions to mold equipment.

Performs in a careful and safe manner by following all established safety procedures.

Maintains a clean working area.

Follows all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Performs other relevant duties as assigned by manager to ensure an efficient and smooth running mold shop.

Maintains all Environmental and Food Safety rules, regulations, and standards as set forth in plant policies/programs, GMP, and within Department responsibilities.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Journeyman Status -Certified Mold Maker

Physical Requirements:

• The individual must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds, on a regular basis.
• Must be able to physically perform all related tasks associated with position.
