Computershare has an exciting opportunity for a permanent, full-time IT Assurance and Compliance Manager to join our Computershare Technology Services (CTS) team. CTS provides global technology and infrastructure and support services for existing Computershare proprietary software together with a full range of development services for new products.

A role you will love

As the IT Assurance and Compliance Manager, you will report directly to the Regional Head of IT Compliance North America and you will provide overall responsibility for the effective management control of the North America IT governance function encompassing the audit, risk and compliance related responsibilities, with particular focus on compliance, client internal and external audit, and risk activities.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Working with Internal and External Audit, Global Information Security (GIS), and IT Risk teams in the analysis, issue tracking remediation planning, reporting and documentation of compliance, audit, risk and security related findings and assessments
  • Acting as the point of contact for internal, external and client requests/audits as required including:
    • Supporting the annual SOC 1 and SOC 2 audits for Computershare Technology Services (CTS) and the technology components of other Business Lines' SOC audits
    • Facilitating the collection of evidence for auditors and clients
    • Partnering with CTS to ensure that policies, processes, and procedures are in place, are clearly defined to an appropriate level, and are reviewed regularly
    • Supporting the wider IT functions in the preparedness and execution of audits with internal and external audit teams and in the formulation and implementation of post audit remediation plans
    • Tracking all IT audit activity both in flight and as part of the continuous audit program. Provide regular management status reports relating to the audit function
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with all teams across the organization
  • Ensure that all work carried out by CTS team adheres to internal and external audit requirements, business regulations, and service level agreements.

What will you bring to the role?

You are someone with a structured approach to tasks paired with strong analytical skills. You excel in communicating and practicing active listening. You build and nurture strong relationships and can collaborate and work well with people at all levels within the organization.

You'll also bring:
  • 5+ years of IT experience including an understanding of on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure technology, including hosting and management (e.g., Windows, Linux, Network, Security)
  • Experience in IT compliance and/or audit; including experience in reviewing controls' design and evaluating operating effectiveness
  • Experience working in a regulated environment in the US and Canada (e.g., SEC, OCC, OSFI).
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, both internally and externally
  • Proven stakeholder management and engagement at a senior level
  • Highly IT literate, enabling exceptional communication and presentation skills at all levels of the organization
  • Willing and able to learn new technologies and work in a technical environment
  • Proven and effective relationship management skills collaborating with external partners
  • Intermediate skills in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience in the financial services industry would be advantageous
