Adams & Martin Group is seeking an Intellectual Property Paralegal to join a busy law firm in Downtown Minneapolis. This is a direct hire opportunity with a hybrid work model after an initial onsite training period.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and e-file patent and trademark applications with the USPTO
  • Review and docket USPTO communications.
  • Draft correspondence for clients and foreign associates.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, and staff.
  • Support litigation attorneys with drafting, research, and trial preparation.
  • Organize client documents for production and discovery.
  • Conduct online searches for information requested by attorneys.
  • Assist in identifying case experts and participate in trial preparations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead or participate in remote meetings and calls.
  • Prepare documents and manage deadlines for meetings and court filings.
  • Coordinate and document meetings.
  • Meet with clients and attorneys to execute documents and gather information.
  • Proofread documents and check citations.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including mailings and file retrieval.
  • Prepare closing documents and binders.
  • Track and record billable time.
Qualifications / Skills:
  • Undergraduate degree and/or paralegal certificate required.
  • 3+ years of law firm experience in IP law
  • Ability to manage multiple projects for several attorneys.
  • Remain calm under pressure and handle demands from attorneys.
  • Strong organizational, research, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Willingness to work long hours if needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
