A super opportunity for a talented Inside Sales Representative - Systems Proposal Engineer, to join Servomex, the world leader in gas analysis. The successful candidate will provide a range of technical and commercial support functions within the region, specializing in systems integration quotation preparation, working with Sales, Applications Department, and the Systems Engineering Department to provide offers for existing and prospective customers.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Sample conditioning designing and/or quoting experience.
  • Demonstrate understanding of integrations systems at the BOM level.
  • A proven record of accomplishment in a similar role, within a technical environment.
  • Comfortable with AutoCAD designing.
  • Customer centric, capable of looking for opportunities to meet Customer needs through product recommendations.

About the Opportunity:

  • Review specifications and customer process data to ensure feasibility of the application and offer recommendations in the form of a quotation and proposal, when required.
  • Ensure correct designs and bills of material based on customer application and analyzer requirements along with all relevant electrical and mechanical engineering codes and standards applying to hydrocarbon processing and industrial gas markets.
  • Interface with other internal and external engineering disciplines/departments
  • Work with Applications Engineering to ensure proper analyzer configuration for the system.
  • Work with the Servomex Systems Integration Team and Applications Engineers to create priced bills of materials (BOM), commercial proposals and margin analysis for small to large sized integration projects.
  • Work in Salesforce.com (SFDC) and SAP for the purpose of managing requests and creating quotations.
  • Handle customer and channel partner requests via telephone calls and emails, in a timely manner, providing excellent technical support and adhering to departmental operating procedures, recommending improvements where applicable.
  • Ensure leads requiring technical support are addressed in a timely manner and opportunities are documented. Follow up leads as, and when, required.
  • As this role is managed functionally through the local Customer Support Manager with a dotted line to local Sales Management, any other duties as required by either manager will require adherence.
  • Lead and manage lower-level opportunities from end to end, allowing Field Sales to focus on winning larger project/customer opportunities.

Essential Qualifications / Education:

  • BS Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent work experience, demonstrating proficiency working with gas analysis equipment and complimentary sample conditioning systems to support the measurement in a pre-sales capacity.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of paramagnetic, zirconia, infrared/photometric, coulometric and gas chromatography.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com (SFDC) and SAP.
  • Experience of working within a continuous improvement, Lean / Six Sigma training.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal/written communication skills and interpersonal skills; a friendly, customer-focused individual.
