Position Overview:

We are looking for a Human Resources Manager to join our Human Resources Team in Kansas City, MO. This person will be responsible for employee relations across multiple offices, managing Human Resources processes such as performance reviews, compensation, administering HR programs and benefits, and other assigned duties.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties:
  • Develop productive and collaborative working relationships with Myers and Stauffer associates, Human Resources peers and Corporate Human Resources partners advancing performance through efficient planning, training and talent engagement
  • Will be primary point of contact for all Human Resources matters for multiple locations across the US
  • Assist in the administration of performance management system and compensation cycles
  • Respond to employee relations matters in partnership with HR Principal
  • Conduct employee investigations and corrective action meetings in conjunction with hiring manager and Human Resources Principal
  • Communicate and assist in the administration of various Human Resources programs, including; salary administration, health & welfare benefits, performance appraisal, planning, and other key programs
  • Consult with management and associates on employment issues and legal compliance
  • Serve as liaison with associates and corporate benefits team resolving benefit matters
  • Conduct exit interviews and coordinate unemployment claims
  • Could be a primary user of HRIS and other data tracking systems
  • May supervise Human Resources staff
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2 years of increasingly responsible Human Resources management experience
  • PHR/SPHR Certification
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or high school diploma or GED with 5 years' experience as strong Human Resources generalist background required
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  • Demonstrated ability in negotiation and conflict resolution
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multi -tasking and prioritize
  • Must have attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs

The Team:
Myers and Stauffer takes pride in the welcoming and collaborative culture we have throughout our offices. For this position, the employee will report to the HR Senior Director on the Human Resources team.

Work Style:
Our general business hours are Monday through Friday 8am-5pm, but can vary based on business needs. Dependent on performance, our in-office associates are eligible for a hybrid work schedule after their initial 90-day training period.
