A client of ours is seeking an HR Generalist to join their team! We are seeking candidates with 5+ years of Human Resources Experience and who thrives in a fast paced enviroment.

Human Resources Generalist:

  • Temp-to-hire position

Responsibilities:

The functions of this job will include but are not limited to the following:

• Participating in recruitment efforts

• Posting job ads and organizing resumes and job applications

• Screening applicants by phone

• Scheduling job interviews and assisting in the interview process

• Completing reference checks

• Orienting new employees to the organization

• Preparing new employee files

• Oversee the completion of new hire paperwork

• Maintain employee confidentiality and protect operations by keeping Human Resources information confidential

• Process and complete all paperwork needed for new-hires, re-hires and terminations

• Verifies I-9 and EEO documentation, maintains files

• Maintains personnel files in compliance with all legal requirements

• Complete FMLA paperwork, discuss with employees for understanding, follow-up

• Provide impeccable customer service and communication to handle complaints or questions regarding discrepancies

• Process termination paperwork

• Replenish and organize all HR forms

• Prepare new Employee Handbooks, New Hire packets and Benefits packets

• Benefits Administration

• Complete an distribute weekly reports

• Assist with annual open enrollment

• Assist employees with requests and questions

• Assists with various research projects and/or special projects

• Filing of papers and documents into appropriate employee files and perform other clerical functions

• Support all departments with any HR issues

• Assist with company lunches, parties, meetings

• Serving as a point person to the organization

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Keeping information confidential and maintain complete confidentiality

• Must be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally, as to communicate with employees, members of the HR team and in meetings

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Demonstrated skills dealing with co-workers at all levels in a variety of situations

• Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently

• Must be extremely organized, accurate, thorough and able to monitor work for quality

• Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction and must be to improve performance through management feedback

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and have an elevated attention to detail

• Strong follow-up and organizational skills

• Ability to identify issues and resolve in a timely manner

• Must be able to work on an individual basis as well as be a team player

Experience Required:

• 5+ years HR Generalist experience

• PHR or SPHR preferred, but not required based on years of experience

• Payroll processing experience a plus (ADP Workforce Now)

• Must be extremely proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint

• Experience working with highly confidential information required

• Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills

• Fluency in speaking and understanding Spanish is highly recommended
