<b>Job Description:</b><br><br> We are seeking a Field Service Technician for a very important client <br><br>Job Description<br>At the Client, you'll discover impactful work, innovative thinking, and a culture dedicated to working the right way, for the right reasons - with the customer always top of mind Our work matters, like helping customers find cures for cancer, protecting the environment, ensuring our food is safe, and delivering COVID-19 solutions As the world leader in serving science, with the largest investment in R&D in the industry, our colleagues are empowered to realize their full potential as part of a fast-growing, global organization that values passion and unique contributions Our commitment to our colleagues across the globe is to provide the resources and opportunities they need to make a difference in our world while building a fulfilling career with us.<br><br>Summary:<br>Division: Unity Lab Services, part of Client, provides critical on-site instrument services at customer locations Our colleagues are passionate about improving customer experience and service operations efficiency The primary territory is within the state of Wisconsin Overnight travel will be expected by the Field Service Engineer, with an average of 3 to 4 nights away from home per month.<br><br>You have the opportunity to manage various aspects of field service support and customer relationships within our Laboratory Essentials (LE) In addition, you will provide complete services on laboratory equipment, including repairs, preventative maintenance, installation, and compliance services, while being an advocate for Client.<br><br>Our ideal candidate will be customer-focused, an advocate for Client in customer laboratories, drive focus and improve customer delivery and overall experience, and be eager to drive growth.<br><br>What will you do?<br>Perform on-site repair, maintenance, calibration, and installation of general laboratory equipment products such as incubators, centrifuges, ultra-low temp freezers, washers, etc.<br><br>Will work in conjunction with the scheduling department to meet the needs of our customers.<br><br>Provide on-site training relative to system service, maintenance, and basic operation.<br><br>Arrange their own travel accommodations and submit expense reports on time.<br><br>Maintain spare parts inventory.<br><br>Maintaining open communication with local and internal teams to enable delivering improved service Document all reasonable actions regarding the scope of work on time.<br><br>Provides a communication link between the customer and the company to help ensure that effective service is provided to the customer.<br><br><b>Requirement:</b><br><br>The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, an advocate for the Client in customer laboratories, drive focus and improve customer delivery and overall experience, and be eager to drive growth.<br><br>How will you get there?<br><br>Education<br>High school diploma or GED required<br>Associate's Degree or Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Bio-Medical Engineering preferred.<br>Prior experience running a territory without direct supervision is needed Experience in Field Service with Medical Devices, Semiconductors, or Automation systems.<br>Must provide own reliable vehicle - will be reimbursed mileage<br><br>Experience<br>Detailed knowledge of test equipment is required-for example, multi-meters, pressure sensors, mass flow controllers, or similar analog devices.<br>Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks with different priorities<br>Strong communication, great work ethic, great teammate, problem-solving skills, ability to balance multiple priorities, and a willingness to learn.<br>Experienced at solving challenges and finding opportunities (Find a Better Way Every Day) with a sense of urgency, high energy, and passion.<br>Strong communication skills and customer focus to deliver excellent customer service.<br>Strong communication skills and customer focus to deliver excellent customer service.<br>Ability to operate computers, smartphones, and related software efficiently.<br><br>Ability to work independently diagnosing and fixing with schematics, diagrams, service manuals, and other user documentation.<br><br>Work Environment<br>Ability to drive frequently within the territory and travel overnight if required.<br>Must be available to travel overnight up to 50% within the territory or other regions as needed.<br>Ability to lift 50 lbs with assistance and carry 25-30 Lbs continuously throughout the day.<br>Ability to bend, squat, stretch, and reach daily in a service function.<br>Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.<br>#PandoPandoLogic.
